Musical Taste Down the Generations

Hey all, I know it’s been a while since I posted … I’ve had a load of work to do. I wrote a paper on Oil and US foreign policy. Not too fun …

I haven’t been doing much else. I work part-time at the Mexican restaurant off-campus, and enjoy it immensely.

Hmmm… maybe i should write about my family. Isn’t that what people write about on blogs? Well, I have two brothers and my parents. My brothers are named William and Gil, and my parents names are Sebastien and Celine. They moved to America from France for college, and met at the University of Kansas while studying theatre. Why they left France, to study theatre in Kansas is way beyond me, but maybe you can come up with some better ideas than I’ve been able to.

My dad is a big fan of classic rock, like the Beatles, and Hendrix, and Pink Floyd, and thankfully I’ve inherited his taste in music, because my mom likes new music, by artists that have no talent, and couldn’t play an instrument if their life depended on it. I don’t get it. I really don’t get the appeal of that type of music. Why on earth do people listen to talentless “artists” who don’t write their songs, or play an instrument??? I dunno. You tell me.

Seeing as it’s a great day outside, I’m going to go see if I can catch a game of frisbee or something.

peace and love!
